Hike Deelerwoud
The Deelerwoud has everything that makes the Veluwe attractive: vast forests and endless moors in a rolling landscape, where you can walk.
Natuurmonumenten works hard to keep the Deelerwoud healthy and vital. For example, Scottish highlanders graze on the moors, which ensure that the unique open landscape is preserved. In order to give space to large game, ecoducts have been created in collaboration with other nature organisations.
Fallow deer and red deer walk safely on the A50 to National Park Veluwezoom via the Terlet wildlife viaduct. Moreover, it is much quieter than for example on the Hoge Veluwe and Veluwezoom. Since 2001, fallow deer and red deer can no longer be hunted in the Deelerwoud. The number of animals has grown considerably in recent years. There is therefore a reasonable chance that you will come face to face with big game.

Even on a cloudy morning there is more than enough to discover in the Deelerwoud.

In the distance I see a deer crossing
In die buurt heb ik ooit paraat gezeten... (op Vliegbasis Deelen). ☺
