The Teleférico de Caracas or Teleférico Warairarepano (former Teleférico del Ávila) is a cable car system in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, inaugurated on December 11, 1955 and put into service on April 19, 1956, by the then president of Venezuela , Marcos Pérez Jiménez.

It reopened in 2001 as the Ávila Mágica Park by the company Inversora Turística Caracas. In 2007, the assets of the company were expropriated by the national government and the commercial exploitation of the complex passed into the hands of MINTUR, renamed Warairarepano.

The original system had five stations (Maripérez - Ávila - Galipán - San José de Galipán and El Cojo, in Macuto) divided into two sections, the first between the city of Caracas (1000 masl), and the highest station of the cable car system On the El Ávila hill (2500 meters above sea level), a sub-system of funiculars started from it that took passengers to the Hotel Humboldt about 600 meters away. The second section started from Avila station, towards the other side of Avila hill, which overlooks the Caribbean Sea, passed over the town of Galipán and ended at El Cojo station in the town of Macuto in La Guaira State. #history
