Our house behind the dike on the Breton River Aulne. Pont ar Gorret, The magical place where we now live eight years. Next month November 2020 we will return to Belgium.

An impression. A long walk along the bike path of Pont ar Gorret towards gare Skrignac, zigzagging along a nice path upwards towards Saint-Ambroise, before we get to the village we turn to Kervallon.
A cherry tree (Prunus avium) gives us tasty fruits. At Kervallon we dive into the large forest, the extreme part of the fôret dominiale de Huelgoat, a mixed deciduous forest with an undergrowth of the everywhere eagle floats but also with a lot of blueberries. Meanwhile we have climbed to 190 meters altitude and descend to the cycle path at the old mill of Libien. From there we can go straight back to Pont ar Gorret via the bike path. We still take a side jump to a wet area with lots of angelica and tormentil, we dwell off the path through a harmless swamp back to the bike path and then stepping fast we reach Pont ar Gorret again.
