Tsutomu Yamaguchi looks around in confusion. It looked like a nightmare from which he woke up. But when he pits into his own arm, he realizes it's not a dream. He lies in a ditch and then looks around in dismay. All the houses that were there before have all been bulldozed. There is no person in the street. The cows and grass appear to have gone up in smoke. Behind the dirt road through which he just walked to the city of Hirochima, it burns everywhere and the ash particles are falling everywhere. Fearless, the Japanese gets up. What happened anyway? He remembers a bright flash of light. Brighter than the sun and a mushroom-like thing in the sky. Where did all the men go?, he wonders. The only thing left of probably a violent explosion is burnt skin and he can't hear from one ear either. “A tympanic membrane must have burst,” he thinks. Stunned, he steps back to where he came from. That's from his family. But their home has also been completely destroyed and, to his dismay, his family has gone up in smoke. In the street, he also meets a survivor. “Who or what caused that explosion” , he asks the man. It's the Americans who fired an atomic bomb at Hirochima because our Emperor didn't want to stop fighting. Tsutomu then decides to walk to the station. All right, the trains are running underground there. So he can, - back to Osaka. Where he lives and works. But 3 days later, while at work, Tsutomu sees another flash of light. He dives directly under his desk. What also saved his life this time. When he gets out, he sees that his bosses and also the staff were killed by the radioactive radiation and the immense pressure wave that occurred when the atomic bomb was detonated. For the second time, Tsutoma was killed by an atomic bomb. How it happens is a mystery to everyone. But he was not affected by the radioactive radiation that released the bomb with a force of 15 kilotons of TNT. He does have a few injuries and burned skin. But that has completely healed after a few months. The man never suffered any injuries from the radioactive rays and was 95 years old.
