How does Pixabay work?
Photos you see anywhere on the Internet are not allowed to be used on your blog. This is because there are #auteursrechten sit on it. You see my beautiful headshot at the top of this message? This is a royalty free photo! And no, I didn't make it myself. You want to know how? Then read on.
Pixabay is a site with free/royalty free pictures and photos. Type in a search term and click 'search'. (just like google) Next, images appear that you can download and you can use at your own discretion, for example on your blog, website or social media! And that without paying a surcharge.. So you can also use them for commercial purposes.
Your clickt on the image you want to use and will appear on a page where the image is large. On that page you can also see who took the photo and what the resolution is. Right-click on the image and choose 'save as.. '. Then you name your image and save it to your computer.
Finally, you can now use the photo. For example, on your Yoo.rs blog. Blogs with beautiful photos are read a lot better in my opinion than blogs with a standard image.
