How to make a small fluffy snail with needle felt wool
You can make anything with dry needle felt wool. The soft material can be used to model something with it. That could be a form or a flat work on e.g. a patch. The way you do that is with a special kind of foam pad. On it, use a special needle felt needle to work the wool. You do this with repeated movements on the same piece. This makes the wool a lot more compact. This allows you to create a form of e.g. an animal.
Below is how host parent Ineke van der Linde makes a snail with the wool. So you can make it yourself step by step. She uses Bheda wool here. This wool forms well and has different colors. Each piece is first loosened on the pad, so you can attach it to the right place later.
You finish the snail with buttons like eyes and decorate the snail on a tree slice with some leaves.!
This wool and all the attributes of the needle felt can be found at Meaningful Crafts . Check out their webshop here to see what beautiful colours they have here.
