
Nasal congestion is one of the most common behaviors that we start as a child and that, for some reason seemingly unintelligible, seem to follow in the old days. If there is a simple explosion, you should be able to reduce the effect because now you have found it, you are back to control your reaction to it. Next, make sure you always carry a tissue. In the past this was a handkerchief but that is considered old and means you will be carrying unpleasant items until you reach your laundry bin. So tissue is farther and farther away the best option.
Start training to use the muscle whenever you want to pick up your nose - it will do the same job and it will not look unattractive to anyone around.
If those simple steps do not reduce the number of times you choose your nose it is time to move on to B.
Wear a rubber band around your wrist - it will look just like the bands of a charity - and check it out every time you find yourself picking your nose. This is a simple form of disgusting treatment and your mind will soon begin to associate the slight pain of the rubber band twing with the nose picker and will begin to help you adjust your habit away from that.
It is also important to keep your nose clear. One way you can reduce the amount of mucus in your nose is by reducing the amount of hair on your nose. The good thing about an electric nose haircut is the artificial way to get rid of annoying hair individually - that's a practice you may not recommend!
If you use one finger mainly, try putting concrete on it for a few days. This will make it very difficult to do the job and will serve as another reminder that you should not really blow your nose this way.
Another easy solution is to download an inexpensive hypnosis track to help you deal with nasal congestion. This will work with your unconscious mind and help you to rid yourself of this annoying habit.
