Good news for dogs: the European Parliament wants illegal #hondenfokkerijen are going to be tackled hard. That decision follows an action we conducted along with 85,000 dog friends. According to the European Commission, 46,000 dogs are bred illegally and traded in very poor conditions every month.
The European Parliament decided this month that a European registration system should be set up to prevent the influx of illegally bred animals. In addition, Parliament wants to impose stricter penalties on traders.
