A tee-curbing broadcast of Jinek, at least the last piece.
The failed comedian Martijn Koning raves Thierry Baudet. And don't get me wrong; I have absolutely nothing to do with Mr Baudet, he is the last to get my vote. But this is typically a case of the pot that reproaches the cauldron..
King talks about Baudet's Jewish girlfriend, them any future children, about skin color, race and what already is not. It was too disgusting for words.
A comedian should be funny, which Martijn Koning is by no means. Just think of the last New Year's conference. No, this was pure gall spitting and expressing frustrations and I'm especially sorry for Eva Jinek.. She was not aware of the content of Martijn's' column '. Here I have also revised my position. Initially, I resented the talkshow host for not interfering. Otherwise she will have her word ready on time too. But I was more or less expecting a statement from her at the Jinek last night. And I thought it was so nice to wait for that..
And her statement came. Eva indicated to expect from a comedian that there would be a turn, that it was a 'performance' and that there would be a light conclusion. But that stayed out. She found it visibly uncomfortable and she doesn't think it's fair to. her guests that a setting has emerged in which someone attacks and the other cannot defend himself. After all, the two were not sitting together at the table.
Of course Thierry stirs his mouth too. But as Angela de Jong correctly said, “I didn't know it was possible to go even lower than Thierry Baudet”. Well, that's what it turned out to be.

But Mrs Jinek should not whine, RTL goes for ratings and she goes for the money, the programmes have a different approach than the public broadcaster.

In my opinion, a comedian doesn't always have to be funny, then it's almost a comedian.
From me it can be critical and sanded against the edges, as long as we ourselves think about what has been said.
My husband and I before covid use to go watch a lot of stand up comedy. Some left us laughing evem still days later, some left us saying we wouldn't go watch that specific comedian again, but one in particular that is quite popular here and even polite enough to have come greet his audience while we waiting in the hotels lounge area, left so many people feeling "dirty" after the show. He spent almost 2 hours insulting absolutely every subject he approached. As we left it was strange how people didn't leave the show laughing but instead quietly shaking their heads.
