While Ko is in battle with the witch, Kimmie has left the witch's circle behind and has gone in search of someone to assist her in finding her husband again.
She has heard from the gnome that there are elves living in the forest who may be able to be of service to her.
In a large hollow oak tree she finds Elise the elf. At 88, she is not yet an adult elf, but she is old and wise enough to help others.
She hears the story from Kimmie and immediately knows who they are dealing with. 'The witch who kidnapped your husband, we call Madam Makmik. She is extremely evil. Anyone who gets too close to her is never seen again.'
'But you can save Ko, right?' Kimmie looks pleadingly at the elf.
