If it seems dangerous to you to deform plastic bottles in the way shown in the video or described above, you should not. The glass jar is made of extra thick milk glass and is simply sold as tea light glass. It's not getting hot. The jar is also high enough to deform the plastic at the correct height above the flame in a few seconds. I can imagine that not everyone is going to do this in a BSO. This 10year-old girl is tinkering here every week from infancy. These types of projects with heat sources happen here in small groups of at most 4 BSO children or even 1 adult to 1 or 2 children.
pretty ! At first I thought I'd keep this in mind before the commemoration of the World War. The symbol of our region is a poppy. But it seems to me a little dangerous, with kids, because of that melting.
@enigma Your idea to use this for the memorial is a nice gesture. You can only do this with the eldest children of a BSO group. You stay with it. Provides good explanations and does well for. See also the video. The oldest children here with me are allowed... Show more@enigma Your idea to use this for the memorial is a nice gesture. The oldest children here with me are allowed to do this (also from the parents) and learn little by little. Crafting has been taught them from the very beginning of infant age and they are ready to go a step further Creative Discover and Develop.
