There is also a chestnut tree in the park near the forest. I took this photo there on a fall day. Beautiful crafts all and shared!

@Madeleine super beautiful photo! And thanks for sharing again, of course! 😘

@De Knutseljuf Ede ✂️ thanks! Love to be done! 😘

Fun idea with those chestnuts. In the south of France, children often paint the white back of the chestnuts in a certain colour to play with it.

@Leo 1 also a nice idea yes, to #spoorzoekertje to join! Or domino. or memory. hihihi

We're also going to look for chestnuts this weekend and do something fun with it. Because we have one week vacation from today

@mama-rosita oh nice autumn break! Enjoy them!
ps Do you have a dog? Because then you have to watch out he doesn't eat acorns or chestnuts! You'll read all about it in the blog of @Marc De Bisschop or have you seen that already?

@De Knutseljuf Ede ✂️🇳🇱 We do have a dog and we are very careful with it because I know it is not healthy and can cause serious damage to a dog. Fortunately, our dog doesn't look at it at all, but still I keep an eye on it.

I have seen hundreds of them, both the horse and the edible chestnuts. But did you know that wild (horse) chestnuts are actually slightly toxic, they contain a chemical known as aescin, which can cause vomiting and even paralysis. So be sure to warn the kids... It's nice to see that you can make so many wonderful things with it.

@Marc De Bisschop thanks for the warning, I didn't know!

We found a lot this afternoon. The craftsmanies will follow soon. Thank you for your inspiration. Do I share.

It's nice that you can do so much with chestnuts, it's good to think of all that.

@Dewaputra didn't make them all up yourself! And I'm sure there's a lot more to do with it.!

I have never had the joy of going to a forest but I think the idea of filling a bag with castanets is great
