Laundry day at the Courier. And you don't just do washing on board, at least I don't. I don't have a washing machine. Firstly, because a #wasmachine costs a lot of space and it's limited on board. Second, it costs a lot of electricity and if you're on shore with a shore connection that's fine, but along the way we use batteries and then washing is not a good idea. Thirdly, it costs a lot of water which is also pumped directly overboard full of detergent, not good for the environment. All in all, not a good idea.

I never experienced it as a problem, in fact, it brings me a lot.

In the beginning that I went to live on board had my friend for his private was a fixed laundry in the city center of Amsterdam and the sheets and demolition of the rental usually went to a laundry in the harbour where we were. I thought it was a lot of hassle to drive with that laundry to a laundromat in Amsterdam and then find a parking spot. So soon I asked my mother if I could bring the laundry when I came to visit. Of course that wasn't a problem.

One time the laundry was in the car and I went to pick up a friend to go somewhere together. She saw the bags with wax and spontaneously offered to put it in the washing machine. I struggled a bit, but honestly that was more for the form, I was very happy with it. And so did she; finally, I can do something for you, too, she said. And that opened my eyes. Almost everyone likes helping others. And so if I ask for help, I give the other one a chance to help me.

nou zeg dat was een goeie regeling geen heitje voor een karweitje maar een klusje voor een wasje.
@marijke ja ik vind het altijd leuk om te ruilen. Zo leer je elkaar beter kennen en is er vanzelf meer begrip.
