#Vilten , I've heard of it but I do not know it. It always looks beautiful, it looks like painting with wool! And that's why it's unfortunately not for me because of a wool allergy. So I haveInekeasked what I often work with. Can you do anything with this, InekeI asked? I didn't have to ask her twice! She first went to test it for herself and at a later moment do it with the children.

What is needle felting anyway?

With this technique, you will prick in a dry piece of wool. You do this with a barbbed needle. You do this on a surface e.g. a felt patch that you have lying on a foam block.

The barbs of the needle push together the scales of the wool and do not pull them back when pulling out the needle. Often pricking makes the felt more and more dense.

You can make “flat” work with it but also 2D and 3D so you make parts thicker that then come forward more. So you make “paintings” or felt figurines.

Wat prachtig ziet dat eruit. Vilten is altijd zo mooi. Ik heb helaas ook een wolallergie, dus ook geen optie voor mij.
