#Leonie is a woman over 40, she could be your neighbor. After her divorce, she builds her new life. With neighbor Mandy she has dinner appointments of the good kind: Mandy cooks! Love also comes around the corner, with all the consequences that this entails.
Leonie had assured Ilse that she could always turn to her. Oh, my gosh, so Ilse had decided by now. It wouldn't have surprised her if Ilse had taken it again. It was a good sign that she chose herself now, but it also meant that Ilse was facing a difficult time. Leonie's thoughts went back to her own divorce just over a year ago. She was glad that she was already so much further, that that phase was over. And she was thinking about Mandy. She had already sent two messages to her, but had forbidden herself to send more messages, she did not want to appear desperate either. I'm sure there was a perfectly normal explanation for the fact that she hadn't answered yet.
“Are you expecting a message or something?” Judith was sharp as ever. Leonie tried to pay attention to it, but she allowed her to check her phone every half hour to see if there were finally two checkmarks behind the messages she had sent Mandy. It was still just one. “My friend Ilse is getting divorced, I would like to be there for her,” explained Leonie. Judith nodded. “That's annoying. Is that the guy who cheated on me?” Leonie nodded. She had told Judith in confidence about Vincent's behavior. “But when she calls or appts you, the phone will tell you that, you don't have to look at it all the time”, laughed Judith. Leonie blushed. On the side with that thing before she got all paranoia.
Yet an hour later she looked at her phone again and saw, to her relief, that there were indeed two checkmarks behind the messages. She never got blue check marks from Mandy, so this is what she had to do with. The messages had arrived in any case, so she had to just wait and see.
In the evening she went to visit her sister, to see how little Siem had grown again. Dagmar was in the best mood, because at the end of the week they were going to get the key to their new house, the house they bought with Michiel, which they had been waiting for months now. “I'm so excited! I'm going to make a light blue baby room for Siem, now we haven't done much about his room, because we would move soon anyway.” Michiel laughed. “Yes, she doesn't care much about the whole house anymore, it's mainly about Siem's room! But it's okay, baby, we're going to make it a nice room for him.” He kissed Dagmar in passing and grabbed Siem by his foot.
