Leonie makes a breakfast
#Leonie is a woman in her 40s, she could be your neighbor. After her divorce, she builds her new life. With neighbor Mandy she has dinner appointments of the good kind: Mandy cooks! Love also comes around the corner again, with all the consequences that this entails..
Leonie closed her own front door behind her and tried to switch back to her children. She was all in heavenly realms. That's how she couldn't face her children. She decided to go to the kitchen first to cool down and make coffee for herself. While she was messing around in the kitchen cabinets, Julia suddenly stood behind her. “Where did you just come from?” she asked. Leonie was startled, but repacked himself. “Mandy needed help with something,” she said. She pressed the button of the Senseo and decided to start on another topic. “Sleep well? Shall I cook you an egg?” Julia looked satisfied. “With two toasted sandwiches and a cup of tea?” she asked with her head inclined. Leonie laughed. “Your order is listed, ma'am”. Julia disappeared into the living room and Leonie humming made her daughter a breakfast.
“Why did you say you were with Mandy?” Julia asked when Leonie handed her her breakfast. Leonie got warm again. “Eeeh... she needed help,” stammered Leonie. She heard how unbelievable it sounded and diligently sought a clearer answer. “She needed batteries and she didn't have them. And she had to leave. So I brought that one for a while.” Julia nodded and took a bite of her roasted bun. “What did she need batteries for?” Julia continued. Boy... “Eeeh... I don't know, for a clock I think. But she had to leave, so I just gave them a moment.” She turned around and walked back to the kitchen, running away from cross-examination.
A little later, she pops back on the couch and dived into her laptop. She was listlessly hanging out on social media while she was thinking about Mandy and the sneaky kissing this morning. She relived those few minutes over and over again. And she was worried. How was this supposed to happen? She was clearly in love and started to get addicted to Mandy, she wanted to be with Mandy, feel her hands, kiss her, chat, have fun... but then she thought about her kids and her family. She could stop with Mandy while she still could. Just say she didn't want to, break the contact. When she thought of that, her whole being cried out very loudly, 'no! ' , she did not want it, she could not. Then Mandy had to be a very good friend for the outside world, no one had to know that it went beyond just a friendship. Friends with benefits... she always thought it was such a stupid term.
