One of the most iconic and beautiful places in my country is represented by the majestic Bridge over Lake Maracaibo called Gen. Rafael Urdaneta in honor of the Marabino procerer who fought with Liberator Simon Bolivar for the liberation of Latin American countries.

This bridge crosses Lake Maracaibo which is the only lake in Latin America that has access to the Caribbean Sea and its freshwater does not mix with the salt water of the sea. In this lake located in Zulia state, there are the largest oil riches in the world.

The bridge built in 1958 of concrete and concrete measures more than 8 kilometers and travel on it is approximately 40 minutes to an hour of time. From the top you can see the city of Maracaibo completely.

A few years ago, when even our government was democratic, investments were made by foreign companies to care for and maintain this beautiful and useful monument, including the night lighting that provided a beautiful spectacle #lights

Currently, its lights are not working and the deterioration of the structure puts at risk the lives of thousands of people who are still traveling there to leave the pies by land.
