Lost concentration
Sophia is nine years old at the time her mother dies due to cancer consequences. Throughout her mother's illness, Sophia has managed to keep herself quite right. Her father involved her in everything, who thought it was important that Sophia knew what was going to happen to her mother, especially since the cancer could no longer be cured. It was important that Sophia was able to say goodbye to the best possible. This all turned out to be good as planned. Sophia often talks about her mother's farewell and also about the funeral ceremony and everything.
Shortly after the event Sophia goes back to school. Soon she's back in the rhythm. According to the teacher, despite losing her mother, she knows how to pick up the pace. Only reading does she sometimes lag behind a bit according to the teacher. But in general, there are no specifics that the teacher is worried about. At the end of elementary school, the teacher sends her to high school with confidence.
However, three years later, when Sophia is twelve and just started high school, things don't seem to be doing well with Sophia. Soon Sophia's father is called to the mentor for a conversation. Sophia can't join the classes, she suffers from concentration disorders, according to the mentor. When something is told Sophia doesn't know what's been told. Father never noticed this and talks to Sophia about this. She tells father that she finds learning difficult. She often has to read texts twice or three times before she gets to know what it says. Yet the conversation with the mentor continues to grind father in mind. What could have caused these concentration disorders? Sophia has never been bothered by this before, he thought. At least this has not been discussed in elementary school.
But what exactly are concentration disorders?
In case of concentration disorders, the person has difficulty focusing on a particular topic or activity. Getting distracted quickly makes it difficult to keep focus on one particular topic or activity for a longer period of time. Concentration disorders are triggered by several causes, one of which is experiencing a loss experience.
