Medical: Stretch marks can get anyone
When I was 11, I already had stretch marks (growth stripes) on my back and not much later on my thighs.
After I was 12, I didn't grow anymore.
I've never seen stretch marks with anyone in my family, so I don't know if it's hereditary.
I have been taking and lubricating corticosteroids all my life and that makes your skin thin. Also, my skin has always been dry.
At the end of my first pregnancy, I had 2 cracks in my stomach 1 week before giving birth to the left and right. Bales.
No matter what people say, my stretch marks do hurt. Especially when there is pressure or friction on it and completely near my thighs. (For example, child on lap, wearing long pants, cycling.) It is also not a tight skin with a tear here and there but more tear than skin and a bump and bump field.
The skin doctor wants to cut out this whole piece, but then it has to both at the same time. He says that this is so painful, that I definitely don't want a second surgery after once. I'll keep 2 vertical scars left.
Stretch marks, by the way, anyone. It's not a skin condition of just pregnant women. Children (who grow rapidly), bodybuilders, horse riders and anyone whose skin is not stretchy enough can also get stretch marks.
There is nothing to do against stretch marks. You can lubricate your skin with (baby) oil to keep it a little supple, but there is no evidence that this helps. The special stretch oils don't do their job better. If they were to help, they can't penetrate deep enough.
Stretch marks occur on skin tissue that stretches relatively quickly.Â
