Mushrooms in the Bonsai
Mushrooms appeared in the Bonsai Canal of my Fagus group (Beech).
That's not surprising because they live in symbiosis with the trees.
The mycelium (fine white root structure of the fungus) gets sugar through the roots of the trees. I swap converts the mycelium minerals into food for the Fagus.
When asked to our superblogger Marc De Bisschop, what kind it is about here, he replied:
βHello Rudy, at first sight I suspect that in all probability it is Radish Vaal Hat (Hebeloma crustuliniforme)β.
