They are full of mussels!
The poles are in the sea, and are completely invisible when the tide is high.
The difference between ebb and tide here is six meters, and the mussels are therefore dry part of the time.
That has consequences: the mussels are slightly smaller and look more yellow than we know them.
They are also tastier in taste at the same time!
