My challenge with watercolour: Day 5
This morning, when it was just light, he showed himself, with his beautiful plumage in black, white and red. Knocking his beak against the tree seemed to get my attention. A little later he showed himself again, but now at the peanut. When the great tits came, he seemed to show up as if he wanted to tell me that today he wanted to be my model for the challenge.
I see these ten days as a challenge with myself and a challenge to get to know the material better. And yes a challenge says it all, that doesn't always have to be easy. Today I chose to wet the paper first, which means I have to use real water. Over the past few days I have noticed that I tend to use the watercolour mainly purely, because I have the most control and can make most of the details. Today I worked a bit faster and looser, but as soon as I want to make the feathers, I miss my pencils.
