Life motto is life-defining

my #levensmotto — I've written about it before — is: 'God turns evil for better'. And that is also the basis from which I write here on Yoors; even though that may not always sound unambiguous immediately because of.

In the past (almost) 59 years I've been through quite a bit of what you could rank under “evil” with a little imagination. But when I look back, I realize again and again how God has indeed turned everything for the better. A very special form of rethinking in life, say. Although, of course, it can always take a while until deep down that is also a reality.

Life motto is life-defining

Just to mention a few examples — and more than examples, it's not, because this motto runs through my whole life —:

  • The moves in my youth brought me flexibility and empathy.
  • The serious car accident in 1987 finally gave me a completely certain faith in God: healing, liberation and recovery, for example.
  • Financial needs opened the way for God's providence. He always takes care of His children again.
