Nature takes a breath of relief
For example, trade in exotic animals in China is temporarily banned. I hope this is going to be transformed into permanent. This is very beneficial for the biodiversity of animals in other continents. Many of these animals are slaughtered to make medicines because the Chinese assign certain powers to them. But also the meat of these animals (often protected) is a delicacy for them.
The air quality is improving. Satellite images confirm this. The amount of nitrogen dioxide in China has now fallen by 35%. It is even said that this saves more human lives than the coronavirus cost in China.
In Italy, too, the effect is already noticeable. There even the air quality has improved enormously. The amount of nitrogen dioxide is halved there. And because one is no longer allowed to sail in Venice, the water is so clear that you can see the fish swimming. As long as one can remember, this has not been so before.
And it will improve even more. And that can not be otherwise, because air traffic has been drastically reduced, the car industry has been shut down in many places. This undoubtedly has a very beneficial effect on the environment.
I hope we learn something from this too.
But also on us humans this can only have a beneficial effect. Many people have to take it easy, so assume that there will be fewer cases of overstrain and burnout. People with asthma and COPD will also be able to breathe more easily.
