Athena, the nightmare that the extreme right dreams of Athena, such a desolate French suburb that was once designed with the most beautiful ideals but is now nothing more than a concrete hell. Inhabited by the country's most disadvantaged residents. The banlieues, the French districts where the future never arrives and escape often proves impossible. When you are born there, you are immediately significantly behind.

When the movie begins, 13-year-old Idris has just died due to police brutality. A video of the speech goes viral and leads to an explosion of anger. The young people in the neighborhood demand that those responsible be punished, but they fear a cover-up. In protest, they set the neighborhood ablaze and turn it into a fortress. In the first minutes, the film drags you into the story with a very nice, very long take of your guts. Order forces advance and, for 90 minutes, a battle reminiscent of antiquity takes place. The agents attack like the Romans in Asterix, protecting themselves in a structure of shields. It is also actually a small village that opposes a force majeure.
