People's hardness has been hitting me lately. What strikes me most of all is that everyone seems to be in their own ego. Anyone who doesn't agree to your priorities is an egoist. People who want to travel are a danger. People who want to party are a danger.
We seem to be looking at each other as deadly projectiles. It strikes me that in health we think mainly of physical health. People can't get that virus. Above all, it's not the flu, because in the flu we just get sick, or die from it, without starting a witch hunt for who might have infected us. How many people have we possibly infected with the flu?
Now we must all be holier than the Pope.
People with depression, who languish in loneliness and even become suicidal. There is no understanding for that. That one silenced to death. The fact that psychologists sit with their hands in their hair and mental health care is overwhelmed, apparently that's not a problem. Apparently, that's not science. That's not a concern. A psychologist is not a scientist, I hear it say.
And those weak ones, they need to get out. That childhood... That they just jump off a bridge.
No, the elderly, the people who have lived through the war and who can now possibly be felled by old age, we must above all protect them. We must keep them in the conservatory, to give them eternal life.
Dear childhood, you are the selfish who screw up. You don't want Grandpa dead, do you? With his worn kidneys and slowly failing heart, he still has to reach the hundred. That he'd rather die now after you hug him, that's because he's no longer in his right mind. If we tell you to leave Grandpa there alone, you should. You might give him corona. Suppose he dies prematurely for a few weeks. Weeks he won't be tattered with the pain of that busted hip. Weeks when he doesn't have to be full of pills anymore. Weeks when he doesn't give up.
Our grandfather has to live, huh?
But that cousin of yours, who's depressed because she can't see her boyfriend, who's already tearing for a broken nail. That kid ain't worth nothing anyway. That he'll kill himself quickly. Such people are the weak ones that our society does not need.
Grandma? You're not going to invite that to New Year's Eve, are you? Are you really a murderer now? That human still can't video chat? She's only 75, you know. She should learn to go with her time.
There! Such a wappie! That they die first. They don't deserve any better than Corona. No, let them get sick die. They're definitely not allowed to go to a hospital. Do you have any idea how dangerous these people are? They should pay extra health premium and be less entitled to it.
There's someone who doesn't wear a mouthcap! We have to hit that muzzle until it looks like it will have to wear it to hide the face in relation to the character.
No, you're not inviting Uncle Luc. The man thinks the virus doesn't exist. You certainly don't want those around. That would make you think for yourself.
There: the neighbors invited a man too much! Call the police! Save the country!
There the Nazi, the NSBer! He betrayed us!
Anyway, that's just an anthology of how fun people interact with each other nowadays. Fortunately, that virus isn't that complex. That's just some RNA with a protein mantle.

One weaker is not the other
