Today is the spring equinox, or Ostara.
On this day, the Celtic and Germanic tribes celebrated
reclaiming the light and spring. This party was
dedicated to the Celtic goddess Eostre. She stood for
the reawakening of the world and fertility.
So, Ostara is a pre-Christian party in which we have the
spring return and also fertility
of the world and humanity. Lots of the traditions that belong
at this party, have been under duress over the centuries, whether or not,
christianized and become part of the current Easter feast.
But, as so often, the origin lies with a non-Christian
party.
Typical for the Ostara party are colored eggs. a sign of fertility. The use of bunnies for decoration also points to the new, young life that starts again and again in the spring.
Flowers also play a very important role in celebrating this day . So choose a nice bouquet of yellow, purple and pastel tones, after all, those are the colors that come with this party. or better yet, pick a nice bouquet of wildflowers yourself.
Another ritual belonging to this party (but that we don't know anymore) is also a lot of fun to do. Take an egg and write all your wishes on the scale. Bury it in the ground and plant a flower or seed above it and watch it grow. as your wishes will also grow and come true.

Too bad that there is a dip in the weather just today, although I have celebrated the (upcoming) spring in the past two weeks. That bouquet of yellow and purple flowers is already blooming everywhere in the shape of crocuses. Happy Ostara, story witch.

Mm, yes, in ancient times, a lot was believed in these pagan gods, but that is why in word God says, my people sin due to lack of knowledge and that is reflected today still.
