In the 1970s, you saw a lot of mopeds from the Kreidler, Zündapp and Yamaha brands drive. The picture shows a Zündapp KS 50 with water cooling. The factory where the Zündapps were manufactured was located in Germany. The company was founded in 1917 by a.o. Fritz Neumeyer. This type of moped appeared in various versions between 1962 and 1984. Until 1976, the KS 50 had been air cooled, then water cooling. There was a lot of competition from Japanese companies on the market, and the introduction of the helmet duty in 1978 meant that fewer mopeds were sold. In 1984, the company was sold by the founder's grandson to a Chinese company named Tianjin.
