My Lament is a series of poems created over the span of 3 years in the journals of A.H Smith. In total the word count of all these poems combined tally up to approximately 10,000 words all to be released in little fragments and pieces as they can be found in the different volumes of journals themselves.



My Lament Number: 2.

The time we spent together, exists as if you were never there,
the love we made, a silent prayer.

You still brighten my day in your own special way,
you make all the bad shit go away.

As I lay in my bed, I keep shifting position,
holding my breath, while I pray and I listen.

Something stirs restless, in the fog of my mind,
a thing that is hidden, a thing I cant find.

It is my hidden desire, the untraveled road,
another dream left behind for the mist to erode.
