¿Qué extrañas de ser niño? /What do you miss about being a child?

What do you miss about yourself, when you were a child?

Now that we are adults, we understand that we would never have wanted to grow up, or at least that way I think.

Why?

Because only in our childhood, we truly enjoy life, things always, the beauty of the universe.

If you ask me what I miss about being a child, I would say that I really miss coming home from school and finding a tasty meal prepared by my mom.

Although I also miss running in the rain with my friends, although this sometimes cost me a scolding.

When I see children (I'm a teacher, so I'm surrounded by kids all the time since '89), I see them living in the present, without making troubles about the future. It's the adult that makes them think about the next day, week, month, year... That's why we loose that way of living. And now every spiritual leader wants us to live in the present again.

@rockstar Luckily, we have grown up and we know how to recognize who they really are.! but, even so, I stick with the version from more than 20 years ago.

Lol, people look at me funny when I answer the question of, 'How are you?' with, "Things were better when I lived in my fathers house!" But frankly, I miss absolutely nothing from my childhood. Yes my young adult years will be a different story.

As a child you have less worries - mind you did have worries, but less worries than adults have. Less responsibilities. Automatically, that makes life nicer to live. And lucky I still run in the rain :)
