Real flowers, encaustic art and resin, works of the day 3-6-2020
Since childhood I have been among the flowers, and with a gardener as a father I have been given the love of flowers. At a young age I got my first flower press, and as I told earlier it inspired me to combine encaustic art and the pressed flowers.
Until recently this resulted in work under a cabochon, a glass cap. But in the meantime I discovered resin, and although I was not satisfied with the result, I wanted to keep trying. On the kreadoe I met the people of polyester shopping, they manufacture resin in all shapes and sizes, and to my delight I received a sample set.
That had to be tried, of course, and I did it last weekend.
The result can be seen below:
Rectangular key chains, approx. 3x4cm. Contents: Forget-me-not and snowdrops, on a substrate of encaustic art. Covered by resin. The keychain with the forget-me-not is sold.
