Reigers: photoblog
All of the photos below were taken in the early summer in the south of France, in the Camargue, where waterfowl are richly represented in the swampy region of the Rhone Delta.
This blue heron is waiting patiently for something tasty to swim by.
It sits motionless on the shore.
During that same walk, I manage to approach this copy fairly close, thanks to some sneaking and very slow movements.

Lots of nice pictures again. I think that of the header is the most beautiful

well joh that I see beautiful. I thought horses were mostly there.

@marijke There are also. You run into them just as well.

@enigma

Beautiful pictures of so many different herons!! The cow herons that get from those beautiful crests and tail feathers (and beak) in orange during the breeding time, which is also quite a special phenomenon.!

@Mirelle - Crea met Kids I also think special. I especially looked my eyes out on the many flamingos there.

Truly beautiful photographs a dream landscape:)

Beautiful photo blog of our most famous and common herons, and beautiful to see the many cowowners.

@Marc I also visited the bird sanctuary at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Looks a bit like the Zwin in Knokke. Just protected, but complete freedom. There I saw a lot of flamingos in the wild.

@enigma That would have been out of season, because the period I came to visit there was already a big bird migration on march.

Congratulations, beautiful photo shots, what beautiful birds
