It promised to rain a lot on Monday, so I decided to ride with me to work by bus. Because 80% rain on the bike was a bit exaggerated.
But when I went to look at moths at the back door in the morning, it was 100% uneasy with the weather!
It was dry and the temperature was good, so I decided to go cycling anyway. If it still rains on the way back then I could put on dry clothes at home, no problem.
In the afternoon I came home dry again and it became great weather!
Shame to do chores inside, would I? Even after already 12 km of cycling in the legs?

I decided to just do it and would see the next day what the effect of this decision would be.
With camera, spare battery and a bottle of drinking in the pannier I headed towards Delleboersterheide.
Soon I was happy with my decision, because on the bike path along the water, where it was super quiet, one dragonfly rose to the other when I was almost ready for them. I expected some crowds at the jetty, but to my astonishment the whole car park was empty! Wow, what lucky! Hopefully the deck would also be empty and that turned out to be the case.

As I walked gently up the scaffolding, a salamander shot away in front of my feet, and as a result I saw a dragonfly's skin.
However, the dragonflies were busy, which became difficult to photograph. I just decided to enjoy what I saw. Suddenly the peace was disturbed by a man who also came to watch, but soon walked on because not so much happened.

I kept standing very still watching and suddenly saw in a corner at my feet is moving in the water. Wow! Yes! A ring hose! The fright didn't even manage to take a picture at first haha. Luckily this was done soon and I enjoyed the beast.
Later, he swam towards me, like he didn't realize I was there until he disappeared into the reeds. A little later, I saw a second one. The gentleman from earlier came back and reacted enthusiastically when I told you what I had seen. Together we saw a third, my day couldn't break. Until we even saw a big fourth!

Wow, I was so happy with my decision to go! I couldn't have dreamed this! The biggest ring hose stayed where it was and at 17:15 I decided to go home again and hoped that practicing with the camera would produce better images than yesterday.

Another 12.9 km in the legs, proud of my body and enjoyed a super afternoon in nature!
