Scribble your drowsy on SocializenOnline
Scribble, we all liked it so much on Hyves. We spent many hours every day trying to send our friends a scribble every day just to let them know you're thinking about them. Tomorrow morning, at your first cup of coffee, you went “a round of Hyves “to scramble all your friends. Hyves was a hugely fun online social platform that almost all the Netherlands, a large part of Belgium and many other countries of the world were members of. It was the 'Myspace' of the Netherlands. Everyone “sat on Hyves. “ Wasn't you Hyver? Then you didn't count. You just had to have a Hyves profile, otherwise you just wouldn't exist.
Unfortunately, the TMG-media group in The Hague decided to pull the plug and the Netherlands ended up in a grey veil of mourning. Where did all the Hyvers go now? They walked with the soul under their arm. Many social media initiatives arose but did not last long. The members didn't flow in fast enough and they just wanted Hyves back, but Hyves was dead.
Many sought refuge in Facebook, because, at the time, that was the only social platform where you could go to stay in touch with your online friends. Many Hyvers found each other on Facebook, but lingered in that gnawing feeling of 'I want Hyves back'. But Hyves did not come back, however much we prayed and begged, there were too many financial interests involved in letting Hyves continue in the form it still had at the time. It didn't make enough money, all the more so as Hyves lost a lot of members to the ever-growing Facebook. Hyves turned into a game platform and Hyves in the old form died a certain death. The Netherlands lived there for a long time because it was announced well in advance so that you could store your most important things.
However, I never understood the charm of Facebook. It's just a boring and chilly website, where you live under 'het yoke of the Facebook police', because you don't like much there. There is a huge amount of censorship, puritan American rules and before you know it you will be blocked. The Socializen weblog is also blocked on Facebook and can no longer be shared there, for some mysterious reason. But good. Do we even need Facebook? Because now there is' SocializenOnline ', a real and crackling social network of our own soil.
SocializenOnline is a social network with about the same features as Facebook, but with a much simpler interface. You don't get caught up in a forest of technological possibilities that you actually don't need at all.
