oh nice that boat I remember having it made once by the kids in preschool early 70s. A lot easier, but that chimney with cotton wool was quite familiar to me.

I once tinkered such a bread myself as a child and it really could sail. Cutting out a wooden board in the shape of a plate, a block of wood as a cabin stick on it and on the stern an empty look with a hole at the back. Filling the can with water and due to the thrust of the water at the back, the supply moves forward.
