solitude

@Madeleine

Loneliness is a topic I've been concerned with for a long time. It's an important topic that should definitely keep paying attention to. Loneliness occurs in all age ranges. A child who has no boyfriends, a young person who has no prospect of the future, because they have had to abort their studies or lost their job alongside study. Someone who feels lonely within a relationship, someone who has lost his or her partner, someone who is a 24 hour carer and feels lonely, because there is no longer time to maintain contacts with others. Someone who lives on the street and has to survive every day. They're all situations with that one word: Loneliness. And that pain of loneliness is palpable. I've been seeing it in my own family for three years. One person is there 24 hours of caregiver and has become so overnight. The other person just lost her partner and then suddenly you're alone. Just talked to her for another hour. Being a listening ear for the struggle it is going through. And especially the silence, the loneliness, being alone is hard what you hear. And that pain can be felt in both situations. I always have the need to write in a dense form. I have posted a number of poems below in which I have tried to articulate the loneliness, the pain, although I am fully aware of the fact that I cannot feel that real pain and loneliness the way it feels. Everyone feels that pain differently.

It's just over

It's just over
the step out of the moment
just loudly present”
like sounding glasses on the terrace
