Song of the day - Frankie Miller - Love Letters
Song of the day
Today we go to the 70s and listen to Scottish singer Frankie Miller who has a beautiful voice with that raw edge to it. Lovely to listen to. He scored two hits in the Netherlands, including the song Love Letters which I will let you hear today. On this single, on the B side is the song Down the Honkeytonk which is also highly recommended. A nice uptempo blues rock song. But back to Love Letters, the song was released in 1977. The song was originally the soundtrack of the 1945 film Love Letters. The song was covered many times by various artists, including Elvis Presley who was a great role model for Frankie Miller, as well as Ray Charles. Frankie Miller also worked a lot with other artists in the 1970s and 1980s, including Procol Harum, Thin Lizzy, Joe Walsh., Ray Charles, The Eagles, Joe Cocker and many more.
