Spring in Spain: spotting flamingos at Las Salinas Calpe
The Spanish sun is letting it down today, so it's going to be a walking day.
In the morning, we head to Las Salinas, a salt lake in the shade of the Ifach, the rock that can be seen everywhere here.
In the past, even centuries ago, this was a salt mine. Today it is closed from the sea by apartments and a road. Waterfowl, just like the tourists, come back annually.
