A lot was said and written yesterday. It is impossible to write a pen and not to express in words how shocked we are after the terrible event yesterday afternoon at the Gemini College in Ridderkerk. The school where our oldest girl has been going with great pleasure for four years. Where she has blossomed and grown so immensely as a person, a place where she feels safe. The school that I am also very happy with as a parent. Where I've been a member of the parents' council for three years, the school that really has a place in my heart. Yesterday, among the many posts on social, I read a lot, a lot of horrible reactions to the school. The school doesn't deserve that, the director who has only been around for a few years has worked hard over the past few years to create a safe environment for all students.
Those reactions make me sad and angry. Municipal councillors make themselves heard on twitter, tweet judgmentally and evocative. That there is still a school community in Ridderkerk, where even bigger scum walks around you don't hear anyone about it. That is the Christian side, we keep our hands over our heads in this Christian village. They are here lord and master of keeping things under the cap. Anything for the good name.

I find it incomprehensible that a 13-year-old walks with a knife at all. When I was that age, we used to play tag and call that one neighbor who didn't like it. We built huts and played hide-and-seek in the bushes without being raped or stabbed. Most of that age are not socially social. Their world consists of gaming and social media. Parents are too busy to care for their teenager. I don't mean to say I'm doing it perfectly, but I know I can say that I'm really interested in my kids. I wish them a nice school day every morning and forge afternoons with cola and chips, because the tea and cookies are hopelessly old-fashioned in their eyes, waiting for and curious about their day. The number of followers and sub-scribes is of great importance to the reputation. The more the better. And without being aware of it, they are brainwashed by the content that is poured over them in large quantities.

The victim is, thank God, out of danger. I sincerely hope that the teachers involved who have done something great with their first aid, life-saving aid, can give it a place. After the weekend, teachers and students are taken care of at school to talk about this event and give each other a place. As parents' council, we decided now that we know that the victim is out of danger to death, to send him a fruit basket on behalf of the parents' council and send the school team a bunch of flowers as a heart under the belt. I think that's the least we can do.

And I, I sincerely hope that everyone who has a knife or whatever in his school bag burned this ritual this weekend and never and then never (again) play with the thoughts to do something so terrible! #geweld #nieuws #school
