The beard of the emperor
The beard of the king is talking material
In our country we know different expressions, in which the beard is mentioned. Think, for example, of the beard of Saint Nicholas, the beard of Abraham and the beard of the emperor. Or quite translated: as the beard is, one trusts his guests.

Whatever has been the subject of regular conversation lately? The King's beard. That creates discussions that almost give you a goatee. As part of the polder model, the king is responsible for everything he does and says. That's how it sometimes seems. But I think the king is just a human being, with the same human rights as the 'ordinary civilian'. So the king's beard is entirely his own domain.
One advantage for his children is that they will never get whining about their beards. But these teenage girls aren't always spared. It is known how Crown Princess Amalia was publicly shamed for a few years for who she was, for what she looked like. She was still a child, and then tortured by the people... if there is one human who deserves compensation and satisfaction after years it is she. Apologies from the people are in place, seems to me.
Interview for King's Day 2020
In the meantime we are heading back to King's Day. The 27th of April is approaching with great strides. But this year it's going to be different; like everything is different today. The coronavirus throws soot in the food here too.
That's why we are now switching to the palace, for a live connection with the royal family, with the royal family. As in previous years, we have developed a interview with King Willem Alexander , this time taken care of by your special correspondent, Joaz Christiano.
