After we were plagued by snow showers in the last few days and I had provided the young plants with improvised protection, I now breathe a relief because I see more plants coming up. A wonderful feeling is that and that gives me courage to continue with plants.
On Thursday the market is on the market so we go for a nice corona-proof outing... with directions, disinfectants and mouthcaps... open-air. The plant merchants get a big smile on their faces when they see me coming. After all, they know that I am busy planting my garden and that I will also return home with a lot of planting material. Let's see what I'm going to bring this time.
Forget-me-nots.. I really love this little flower... the shape, the color, the playful character... I would like to plant my whole garden with this cute plant.
Spanish grass and a blue flower of which I forgot the name for a while also managed to enchant me so they were also allowed to join.
And of course also some herbs... for what is a cook without spices in his kitchen? Right.. Nothing at all..
Another mint plant because we like to drink fresh mint tea, later plant with his little brother.
Delicious with meat but also in combination with slices of orange this herb can be transformed into a nice drink.
Mmmmm... Potatoes with rosemary... I love it.
Because Italian cuisine is often discussed here and the leaves also taste delicious in a salad.
With some chives and parsley, you already have a nice basic package in terms of herb garden so they will be added anyway and tarragon my personal favorite herb should of course not be missing so I'll buy it next time.
So I am totally happy with my recent purchases and plantations...
My garden is also getting more and more color... I Love It...
