The Ordeal (1)
The weather is beautiful for early spring and the temperature of recent weeks has transformed the blossom to the trees earlier than usual.
It's still early in the morning when we hear some special sounds coming from Uncle Frits and Aunt Coby's bedroom. You'd almost say it's grumbling, which still contrasts somewhat with the sunny character Aunt Coby himself claims to have. Between the grumbling, the sliding of clothes hooks can be heard, and that is an announcement of a well-known comment, which is often used by women: 'I have nothing left to wear!’
Uncle Frits pulls the comforter a little further over his ears.
“This really can't be done anymore,” Aunt exclaims.
Uncle Frits dives, as far as possible, a little deeper under the shelter of the duvet.
