Strange dream in the train
Louise felt a shock and looked through the window. The train had moved earlier than she expected. Apparently, she fell asleep and was just dreaming of a world in decline. A world full of distance and loneliness. Society looked so strange that even an alien would look strange.
The loudspeaker made the voice of the conductor sound. He looks like the voice of a minister, but that must be imagination, Louise thinks to himself. And yet... his announcement sounds imminent.
Dear travelers, I call you on behalf of Luc Inferno Welcome aboard the Intercity 'The Runaway'.
Our route will go along the valleys of loneliness, pain and sorrow. Be glad that we have saved you from the Light in the world. As far as we're concerned, it's serious 'once saved, always save'.
Finally, we wish you a good journey to our final destination: the outer darkness.
