Because I have a partner, I am not eligible for domestic help through the WMO in our municipality. They argue that my husband should have done the household if he lived alone. In my opinion, it is quite a matter whether someone works full-time or someone is at home continuously. Anyway, my husband, as a registered carer, is well eligible for domestic help through a home care organization at a reduced rate.

Solved, you'll think. Well, not quite, because that's when the misery started. Something that would not have been necessary afterwards if we had been clearly told what we could expect. Up to 4 years ago I worked as an alpha-help through a home care organization and just did all the common household chores there. Later I heard that outside windows was no longer allowed, because there you could have a window cleaner come and in some cases I really understand that, because I too was sometimes very dangerous on a (rickety) staircase. You just don't want that as an organisation.

Furthermore, I did not know that what I considered normal in my work turns out not to be that normal anymore. Only after my husband and I had canceled home care organization number 2, the municipality felt that we had too high expectations became clear where things went wrong.
Of course I should be happy with all the help I get, but if both we and the municipality have to pay a lot, there is no communication about what a help can and can't do well I find it difficult. Afterwards so home care organization number 2 spoken and said that they for example nothing on walls and ceilings and knickknacks fabrics. This could be broken. Further only horizontal planes, no further than shoulder height. Also not with a long swiffer duster or plumo, no skirting boards or work in cabinets. It's not like it's on paper either, because they don't want to be so black and white. Actually, they're not doing this unless a client wants it, and then you lose me. I need clarity. If I had known this, or if the help had just told me, it wouldn't have been a problem for me. Instead, one help says that she does not repel lamps, because then she is powered, and the other does not do a mirror, because she does not know how it is hung. Well, then just be clear.

Our church turned out to understand it completely and despite the fact that I feel guilty, home care organization number 3 was approached. This time I'm in a different way, because I know that everything can not be done. That is very different from asking someone to dust well and after 1 hour 2 bedrooms are done and then half forgot.

Yesterday afternoon I got a call and this afternoon my new help has already been. Nice girl. Someone a lot younger than me, which I also like. She comes from the same neighborhood and someone who can clean up our 80 square meters reasonably minimalist (muv maximus pet accessories) apartment within 3 hours and really neat.
How delicious it is when your house is clean and fresh again.
