The white tiger: a rarity
White tigers are actually a type of genetic defect, a mutation of the Bengal tiger.
The Bengal tiger is normally orange-brown with black stripes.
In the wild, there are still some 3500, although in 1900 there were another 100,000.
In captivity, the line is maintained.
In the photo, it can not be seen immediately, but the animal has beautiful blue eyes.

I just like it better. With us in Amersfoort in the zoo I saw him jaaaaaren ago, no idea if he is still there.
