He put his sharp muzzle in the air and sniffed in at short intervals the smell of the danger coming at them. His personal memories did not recognize the creature, but somewhere in his deepest being, he knew that his forefathers had ever known this monster.
Wolves had been roaming the Earth for a long time, even before humans existed. In his subconscious mind, which drew on the science that was stored in his genes, the answer was decided.
