After my skating attempts and falls, I decided to get rid of my skates. Too bad because I wanted to.... They cost me 189 euros and it was now important to put them on Marktplaats as soon as possible. Value is a funny phenomenon. Today I could sell them for 150 euros. Tomorrow maybe for 100 and if I wait till Monday, if it's gonna thaw, I'll be happy if I get 50 euros for it.. So now only disposed of for the first mentioned amount.
In my humble opinion, it didn't go so well especially because I haven't skated in 30 years, my excess weight and so I have difficulty standing right on the skates, the long irons that reduce the pressure on the ice with the result of sliding sideways and because the irons are straight instead of. curvy. With eg. Hockey skates make you more agile and you have more pressure on the ice due to a smaller interface.
Anyway, I am an experience richer and I have learned from it, Never do I order more skates online but let me advise myself well in a sports store, when they are allowed to open again. Also it is convenient to buy them not only when the frost falls in, but a little earlier. The risk is that there will be no skating next winter and not in 10 winters. Of course, it can also be that we get 3 harsh winters in a row. Otherwise, it is also an option to go to an artificial ice rink of course. Enrique to the sport, the wonders are not out of the world yet...
Of course I am also disappointed and that is allowed. In any case, I hope that the person I sold them to will have a lot of fun!
