What is a harvest moon?
The harvest moon is also called corn moon. You can see him every year, in September or in October. On 14 September 2019 the harvest moon was on display again! The moon then shows itself immediately, as soon as the sun is down.
If the moon is over the eastern horizon for several evenings in a row, and it is so bright that harvesting can continue at night, it is called the harvest moon. People can work outside longer. It is the full moon, which occurs closest to the “autumn equinox”. That is the night that lasts as long as the day, and the day is 12 hours, and so is the night. Honestly distributed!
