When it comes to giving feedback, some people find it easier to complain than to compliment. But which one is really more difficult to say? It's like choosing between a rock and a hard place, or between eating broccoli or Brussels sprouts. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point.

Ik vind het moeilijker om klachten te geven en doe dat dan ook niet zo snel. Hoewel... met het ouder worden ben ik daar wel beter in geworden, net zoals met het geven van complimenten.

People complain rather than praise, I think. People often focus on “me” and only then look at the other person. So compliments are harder to hand out. Personally, I don't like complaining at all, but I actually like and love seeing how people grow and I love to share those compliments.
