What is temperature?
How cold is it today? How warm are you? Is it gonna freeze?
Almost every day you have to deal with temperature. You want to know how many degrees it's going to be. Because the word “cold “or “hot “doesn't mean that much. Therefore, there are thermometers. You can easily see how many degrees it is. We use the thermometer scale Celsius, but you also have Fahrenheit. Celsius assumes 0 degrees (that's the freezing point of water) and the boiling point of water, that's 100 degrees. Other materials, such as gold, iron, mercury and alcohol, have different freezing and boiling points. Do you know them?
